Storm EFD: The Storm EFD has a top speed of around 45 mph (72 km/h). In practice, the speed of the karts is often electronically limited below this to maximize safety.

Race Kart: The top end Race kart model has a top speed of 78 mph (125 km/h). This kart is only intended for highly skilled drivers on a large outdoor course.

Yes, by using a wireless remote you can regulate the speed of all the karts at the same time or each kart individually. You can also stop all the karts with the push of a button. Each kart has around 5 different speed settings. This improves the safety of the karting operation dramatically.

The Storm EFD and Junior kart can be equipped with lead-acid batteries or lithium batteries. When using lead-acid batteries, the Storm EFD needs 4 batteries and the Junior kart needs 2 batteries. When using lithium batteries, the Storm EFD and Junior kart need only 1 battery.

Lead-Acid Batteries: When the Storm EFD kart is equipped with 4 lead-acid batteries such as the Optima D34, the maximum run time is around 15 minutes. With that being said, we suggest that each race is 6 to 9 minutes. That way there is a buffer and there is no chance of the kart having diminished performance.

Lithium Batteries: With our 120Ah lithium batteries the kart has a run time of around 50 minutes.

Storm EFD: 58” / 147 cm. This minimum height is associated with 11 to 13-year-olds.

Junior: 48” / 122 cm. This minimum height is associated with 6 to 8-year-olds.

Storm DUO: There are two seats in the Storm DUO. Only one seat has control of the accelerator which is the driver seat. For the driver seat, the minimum height is 58” / 147 cm, for the passenger seat the minimum height 48” / 122 cm.
